Peacock Island poster from our bestselling REGIONS poster series. So far we have prepared regions of Poland and now new posters will present regions of Europe. This collection aims to present the most beautiful and, literally, the most picturesque regions in Europe.

The poster depicts Peacock Island in the Havel River, in the southwestern Berlin district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. The island gets its name from the peacocks that live there in the wild. In the 18th century. Friedrich Wilhelm II built a romantic palace (maison de plaisance) on the island, surrounded by a park (ca. 67 ha) designed by Peter Joseph Lenné, which was once the summer residence of the kings of Prussia. In 1990, Peacock Island was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List as one of Berlin's park and palace complexes.

Peacock Island poster designed by Poznan artist Katarzyna Nowakowska. Made especially for our order. See also other posters from REGIONS series in our gallery.
