The poster from the "Red Book of Animals" series shows the Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) - a species of predatory land mammal from the felidae family, the largest of the lynxes. Occurs in Europe and Asia. Apart from the domestic cat, the lynx and the wildcat are the only representatives of felids in Poland. In Poland, according to data from around 2011, the lynx population was 296 individuals. It is entered in the Polish Red Book of Animals, under strict protection.
Polish Red Book of Animals is a register of endangered animal species in Poland. It contains a list of endangered animal species with a detailed description and maps of their distribution. It also determines the degree of threat to individual species, the rarity of their occurrence, and the applied and proposed protection methods.
With this mini-series, we want to present the beautiful species of animals in Poland that are under strict protection. This poster, as well as the entire series, was prepared especially for us by the artist Anna Oracz.
