The attached graphic depicts the "Group of Egerts" from 1925-1936.
The illustrations were done by Ohara Koson (1877 - 1945), who was a Japanese painter and printmaker from the turn of the 20th century, part of the shin-hanga (literally, "new prints, new woodcuts") movement. This movement originated in early 20th century Japan, being a kind of revival of traditional ukiyo-e art from the Edo and Meiji periods (17th-19th century).
